Best Practice Tip #1 - Troubleshoot…. Not Re-Boot

Customers can help support themselves when their system is experiencing problems or is not functioning at all.

On a trouble call, with a tech on his way, it is considered best practice not to immediately reboot the device in question.

When the device is cycled, important data can be lost that will be used to find root cause of the customer’s problem. Let the technician make the call.
